Syrian army hoists national flag in Dara'a city
A Russian military delegation earlier held negotiations with the militants in Dera'a to persuade them to surrender their weapons. Latest estimates say some 2,000 militants are still holed up in Dara'a city, along with their families.

While Manchester United have also been linked with the 26-year-old, The Telegraph, claim that the Reds have agreed to pay Shaqiri's £13.75million release clause following Stoke's relegation from the Premier League.

However, it appears that the Switzerland global is closing in on a switch to Liverpool, with the Merseyside giants having met the desired fee over the summer.

Crowning glory for Netflix with Emmy nomination success
Other nominees in the category include Jason Bateman (" Ozark "), Ed Harris (" Westworld ") and Matthew Rhys (" The Americans "). The fantasy dragons-and-swords saga, which already has 38 Emmys under its belt, is not expected back on screens until next year.

But it looks like Liverpool have finally got their hands on another attacker and as long as there are no late complications, Shaqiri will become Klopp's third summer signing following the arrivals of Naby Keita and Fabinho.

He would likely make his first appearance for Liverpool on the club's preseason tour of the United States, where they will face Borussia Dortmund, Manchester City and Manchester United in the International Champions Cup.
