Mueller indicts 12 Russian intelligence officers over 2016 election interference

A dozen Russian intelligence officers are facing new USA federal indictments alleging they hacked into American computers with the explicit intention of interfering with the 2016 presidential election.

Mueller's probe has come under sustained attack from Trump and his supporters in Congress, who call it a witch hunt and a politically-motivated attempt to hurt the president.

The indictments were filed by Special Prosecutor Robert Mueller, who is investing possible collusion between the presidential campaign of President Donald Trump and the Russian spies United States intelligence agencies say interfered with the 2016 election.

'Do not eat this cereal': CDC links Honey Smacks, salmonella
At the time, there were a number of salmonella cases in New England, including five in MA and one in New Hampshire. Salmonella can also travel from the intestines to the bloodstream and ultimately the rest of the body.

All 12 defendants are Russian military intelligence operatives who, according to Rosenstein, created and used the "DCLeaks" and "Guccifer 2.0" identities to leak the information they stole from the DNC while implying they were Americans. The statement notes that they began "spearphishing" volunteers and employees of Clinton's campaign, including its chairman.

The indictment also does not allege that any vote tallies were altered by hacking.

Thirteen Russian nationals and three Russian companies have also been indicted on conspiracy charges related to the Kremlin's efforts to undermine the results of the 2016 election with false propaganda distributed on Facebook and other social media platforms. Trump and Putin are to hold talks Monday in Finland, a meeting largely sought by Trump. Trump has said he believes Putin's denials that Russian Federation did not meddle in the election.

Rosenstein said that responsibility for this prosecution - which is unlikely to go forward in court as Russian Federation is unlikely to extradite the suspects - would pass from Mueller's office to the National Security division of the Justice Department. "But it makes it very hard to do something with Russian Federation". "But I love getting along with Russian Federation and China and other countries".
