Giuliani Wants Public To Hear Cohen Tapes

Giuliani Wants Public To Hear Cohen Tapes
Most recently, CNN reported that Cohen claimsTrump knew in advance of a June 2016 Trump Tower meeting between senior campaign officials and a Kremlin-connected lawyer offering dirt on then Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton.
And now Cohen is saying that Donald Trump Jr. did let his father know about that meeting in advance.
"I did NOT know of the meeting with my son, Don jr.", Trumptweeted Friday.
"Sounds to me like someone is trying to make up stories in order to get himself out of an unrelated jam", Trump said.
Rudy Giuliani said over the weekend the Michael Cohen tape has been tampered with.
CBS leaves accused CEO in place, for now
It's a question media watchers will monitor closely, and one that might have enormous consequences for CBS and even broadcast TV. The board was already scheduled to meet on Monday as the company is scheduled to report its second quarter earnings on Thursday.
However, Costello noted that "on the flip side, this is the kind of information, which is consistent with those who have been critical of the president and who have raised concerns about the Mueller investigation and Russian interference and this issue of collusion, which the president continues to deny, but which this kind of information, as it drips out, would clearly contradict", Costello said.
"Arrived back in Washington last night from a very emotional reopening of a major U.S. Steel plant in Granite City, Illinois, only to be greeted with the ridiculous news that the highly conflicted Robert Mueller and his gang of 13 Angry Democrats obviously can not find Collusion...", Trump tweeted.
In May, Giuliani said that Cohen was "honest", and just a few weeks ago he said he didn't think Cohen would lie, saying, "I think he is going to tell the truth".
Giuliani's appearance on Sunday came after he told ABC NewsTrump's legal team had split with Cohen and ended the joint defense agreement the two parties previously shared.
Many legal experts, however, disagree that Trump has been exonerated by the Cohen tapes. The Justice Department has been investigating Cohen for months, raiding his home, office and hotel room in search of documents related to a $130,000 payment the attorney facilitated before the 2016 election to Stormy Daniels, an adult-film actress who says she had sex with Trump in 2006.
"He's been lying all week, he's been lying for years", Giuliani said on CNN. That tape was released Wednesday through Cohen's attorney Lanny Davis. Earlier this month, however, he said that his loyalty is first to his family and country, not the President.
The former NY mayor's criticisms of Cohen come just a few months after he called him "an honest, honorable lawyer" in a separate ABC News interview.
Giuliani, who had once applauded Cohen for his honesty, was asked about his dramatic change in opinion of Cohen on "Fox News Sunday", and explained, "The man is a pathological manipulator, liar".
Giuliani went on to insist that "all" of the conversations corroborated Trump's tweets about his relationship with Cohen.
Cohen says on the tape with Trump that he's already spoken about the McDougal-story payment with the Trump Organization's finance chief, Allen Weisselberg, on "how to set the whole thing up".
