The TESS telescope was launched in April of this year.

NASA's TESS (Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite or TESS Spacecraft) has started its hunt for planets orbiting nearby stars.

"I'm thrilled that our planet hunter is ready to start combing the backyard of our solar system for new worlds", Paul Hertz, director of NASA's Astrophysics division, said in the statement.

The newest planet-hunting satellite from NASA's stable has crossed our galaxy and started its hunt beyond.

Gareth Bale will reject Man United offer, new Real Madrid boss claims
Alexis Sanchez scored his second goal in two matches to open the scoring before teeing up Ander Herrera in a sublime team move prior to the interval.

Back in May, TESS snapped its first image as a two-second exposure test.

"With possibly more planets than stars in our universe, I look forward to the odd, fantastic worlds we're bound to discover", said Hertz.

TESS is expected to transmit whatever science data it has collected back to Earth sometime in August as the spacecraft makes it closest approach to Earth which happens once per orbit and thereafter the data will be transmitted periodically every 13.5 days.

The Transiting Exoplanet Survey Satellite, TESS for short, began searching the stars for signs of exoplanets Wednesday.

Matteo Darmian hoping to leave Old Trafford
Asked if he felt he had a squad who can compete for the title this season, Mourinho said: " I don't answer your question ". It was two or three days ago. 'Sitting in front of you now, I really do believe that I'll make it here.

On April 18, TESS was first shot into Earth orbit by a SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket, and commissioning checks were taking place up until fairly recently, as NASA noted in an update on June 11, according to Space.

At the time of launch, NASA said that TESS would begin science operations about 60 days after launch.

For this reason, all of the most interesting discoveries will be explored further TESS of the largest ground-based telescopes that can open the planet for the shifts in the spectrum of their star, and built orbital Observatory "James Webb", which will replace the Hubble in the early 2020s. These dips are created when a planet passes in front of a star. It is expected that the spacecraft will find thousands of planets using this method until the end of its journey and some of the planets could potentially support life. These transit cause minute, periodic dips in brightness of the stars that the cameras on TESS will detect.

The telescope has four cameras, each with a 16.8 megapixel sensor.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 price leak from Indonesia starting from ~RM3812
The Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be one of Samsung's most expensive devices, crossing the $1000 mark for the first time. One thing you can count on is that the price will grow from the Note 8 available right now, which sells for under $1,000.

The mission is being led by MIT, though the Goddard Space Flight Center is managing it. The mission should come relatively cheaply, according to -the TESS satellite's cost is capped at $200 million, while the Kepler telescope it replacedcost about $600 million.
