Israel's Security Cabinet met on Sunday to consider Gaza proposals.

Israel made a decision to erect a sea barrier in 2014, when several Hamas gunmen tried to enter Israel by sea but were shot dead by soldiers.

"I will present my "artificial island" plan to cut all civil connection between Israel and Gaza today", Katz continued, referring to the planned cabinet discussion of the ceasefire. In response to the protests, Israel on July 9 tightened the blockade by shuttering Gaza's main commercial terminal and limiting a Palestinian fishing zone off the enclave.

Israel's Defence Ministry described the barrier as "an impenetrable breakwater".

As part of negotiations, several exiled Hamas leaders are in Gaza for consultations.

Hamas officials had no immediate comment on the ship's seizure.

An unnamed Israeli official was quoted by a number of media outlets as saying that Israel will not accept a broad agreement with Hamas on the rehabilitation of the Gaza Strip which does not include the return of the remains of IDF soldiers Hadar Goldin and Oron Shaul and the two Israeli citizens held by the terror group.

Dozens of Palestinians have been killed by Israeli army fire.

He writes: "We are continuing intensive work to build land and sea obstacles around Gaza".

Egypt has allowed domestic gas deliveries into the blockaded Gaza Strip for the first time, according to a Palestinian official on Sunday.

Hiroshima marks 73rd anniversary of atomic bombing
Survivors, their relatives and other participants marked the 8:15 a.m. blast with a minute of silence. Three days later, another atomic bomb was dropped on Nagasaki, killing an estimated 40,000 people.

The Palestinians and the United Nations similarly dispute Israel's assertion that it ended its occupation of Gaza in 2005.

Reports in the Lebanese news paper Al-Akhbar earlier on Friday said the deal stipulated that Hamas must commit to "the end of the provocations along the border, or in other words, the phenomena of the flaming kites and ballons, border crossing operations and setting fire to border posts".

"(A deal would bring about a) separation of Gaza from the rest of the homeland and would create a mini-state which will be the graveyard of our national project", said Munir Al-Ghaghoub, a spokesman for Abbas's Fatah movement.

But after a meeting of the representatives of Palestinian factions, including Fatah, Badran said, "There will be no state in Gaza and no state without Gaza".

It also attacked "a terrorist squad that was launching arson balloons from the northern Gaza Strip into Israel", the army said in an English-language statement. Twenty-four of slain protesters were minors, the ministry has said.
