At least one Palestinian killed, six injured in Gaza after Israeli strikes
According to reports, an Israeli man was slightly injured when two rockets from Gaza landed in the southern town of Sderot.
Israel said it struck a Hamas post in retaliation.
The strikes came after at least two of dozens of rockets launched from the coastal enclave hit the Israeli town of Sderot, near Gaza's northern border, police and the army said.
Jamie McGoldrick, the United Nations' humanitarian coordinator for the Palestinian territories, in a news release called Israel's restriction of fuel imports "a risky practice, with grave consequences on the rights of people in Gaza".
The Hamas official reportedly said the truce agreement will begin with a two-week cease-fire trial period beginning in late August in accordance with ongoing talks mediated by Egypt.
Earlier on Wednesday, air raid sirens warning of incoming rocket fire sent Israeli residents of communities along the tense Gaza border scrambling for shelter before the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) determined them to have been a false alarm.
Israel's military earlier said shots were fired from Gaza at civilians working on the barrier that separate the territory and Israel, damaging a vehicle.
The last four months have seen an upsurge in violence along the Gaza-Israel border. "The "Iron Dome" aerial defence system intercepted 11 launches, the majority of the rockets hit open areas", the IAF said on its Twitter account. Israel temporarily suspended fuel shipments to Gaza in July for similar reasons.

Meanwhile, Israeli firefighters battled two fires caused by gas balloons that exploded when the homes were hit by rocket fire.
Over the past four months, 158 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli fire, including at least 120 in the protests near the fence and others in Israeli air strikes and other incidents elsewhere in Gaza, according to the Gaza Health Ministry and a local rights group.
The Swedes were all activists from the "Ship to Gaza" group who were attempting to break Israel's blockade and bring supplies including medical equipment to Gaza, while the remaining five people on the boat included three crew members from Canada, France and Germany, and two British journalists.
More than 160 Palestinians have been killed by Israeli forces - most during weekly protests at which thousands of Palestinians have expressed their support for the declared right of Palestinian refugees to return to their ancestral homes in what is now Israel.
