As seen in the image below, Take-Two Interactive and Rockstar Games will be debuting gameplay for Red Dead Redemption 2 at 11:00 AM ET / 12:00 PM CT, with the footage being hosted through the developer's official website and its YouTube channel. A narrator goes over everything throughout the video, explaining important information about what people are seeing. We're then reminded of the game's setting and given some historical context. The game aims to combine action, storytelling, and gameplay in new ways. The release of that gameplay footage kickstarted what I like to call the "Rockstar Golden Age" where they began to delve deeper into marketing instead of allowing us to succumb to the suffering of news drought. We catch glimpses of mountains, dense forests, steamy swamps, deserts, dusty cattle towns, more modern cities, and more. In Red Dead Redemption 2, your interactions with people matter.
Surprise! No One Buys Things via Alexa
But with Amazon rolling out the Answer Update feature, conversations with Alexa are likely to become more engaging. One of the other features, being an Amazon product after all, is the ability to order items via voice and shop.
What did you like most about the trailer? Rockstar is making sure that the world and its inhabitants can be interacted with in ways aside from shoot-outs, and one large part of that is an expanded conversation system. When forced to leave an area, the gang sets up a camp. You've got your sprawling map (which, as expected, looks like it recreates quite a few locations from the previous game in this franchise), you've got your sassy cowboys getting into barfights, your roaming gangs of outlaws looking for their next big score. Arthur Morgan as a solo protagonist is a good decision to try separate the mechanics of Red Dead Redemption 2 from Grand Theft Auto 5, even if they share a lot of similarities.
