After helming Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Sharma-Aishwarya Rai Bachchan-starrer Ae Dil Hai Mushkil, Karan will be donning the director's hat for Takht after two years.

Taking to Twitter to make the big announcement, Karan wrote: "An incredible story embedded in history".

The film is being labeled a live-action family film, but CGI elements will most likely be used to create Sonic and his friends. Sonic the Hedgehog is in production, and will also star James Marsden and Tika Sumpter .

The film will have it all- ambition, greed, betrayal, love and love of succession. Her brothers were Dara Shikoh and Aurangzeb. So, one can assume that Karan might be the reason why Kareena has agreed to come on board along with Ranveer Singh.
