Charl Schwartzel finishes his round of 63. More

Two-time US Open champion Brooks Koepka seized a two-stroke lead after Saturday's third round of the PGA Championship while Tiger Woods charged into contention for his first major title in 10 years.

Day, who finished second by one shot at the 2016 PGA Championship and tied for ninth a year ago, knows what has been missing his 2015 triumph. All four of those four shots under par were all gained on the first eight holes of Woods' second round (finished Saturday morning), as well.

As the final groups teed off Woods was four shots off the lead, but he was far from alone in taking advantage of the ideal conditions, with defending champion Justin Thomas making a birdie at the first and 2015 victor Jason Day picking up shots on the first and third.

Woods, 42, will have considerable work to do as he chases his 15th major title at the 100th PGA Championship, but the solid 4-under 66 that he completed early Saturday morning (he had 11 holes to play) pushed him to 4-under 136 through 36 holes, six shots behind leader Gary Woodland.

Woods, a 14-time major champion in his comeback season from spinal fusion surgery, fired a 66 to share fourth on 202 with second-ranked defending champion Justin Thomas, 2009 British Open victor Stewart Cink, Ireland's Shane Lowry, Australia's Jason Day and South African Charl Schwartzel.

Whether it's a byproduct of a personality that can at times come off as aloof, or his disinterest in the modern trappings of social media, in a game filled with stars Koepka is still searching for his place among the world-beater set.

Authorities don't believe man who stole plane had a pilot's license
Instead, the F-15 pilots and air traffic controllers tried to guide the plane west, away from populated areas, said Hillier. No structures on the ground were damaged by the plane, which sparked a small wildfire.

Fowler had three birdies and one bogey while playing through noticeable pain to card a one-under 69.

At the 17th, after ramming his eagle putt through the break, he missed the 4-footer coming back.

Both Brooks Koepka and Charl Schwartzel shot 63 to equal the lowest score in tournament history, but Koepka just edges it on account of carding seven birdies and no bogeys.

"I wish my score was closer to the lead but not many guys are up there". With a front pin on the seventh hole, he went some 25 feet beyond the flag and holed the putt, and then got up-and-down from a bunker on par-5 eighth.

"I'm very happy with where I'm at", he said.

Oh, and then there's that Tiger Woods fellow, looking to do what he just barely couldn't do last time out at a major champion. That's the mark of good players.

Deflategate Part 2: NFL Investigating Steelers Use of Deflated Balls in Preseason
Howard Eskin of WIP radio in Philadelphia reported a Steelers football was " very deflated " and was "like a marshmallow". While Eskin's certainly a loud buffoon, he purports that the NFL is now handling and investigating the football.

"It's great", Lowry said.

"Obviously, it's a bummer because my putter is as hot as it's been in two years, and I'm really rolling the rock nicely, and the swing is nearly there". It's great to have your brother on the bag, your dad out there watching and you're going and competing in the final round of a major.

"I have my dad here to watch".

"With so many big names, you would expect two or three of them to really make a run, make a push to get off to a good start and challenge me". "I didn't even think of it [the 62]".

Woods eventually crawled back to even par on Thursday - giving himself a decent shot at making the cut Friday. The sixth hole is a pretty tough par three and four and five are pretty tough as well. "It's mentally grinding that hard for 29 holes in this heat".

The second round was to resume at 7 a.m. local time. "To get to seven was lovely".
