"At this time, the best decision for our football program is to place". New offensive coordinator Matt Canada will take over head coaching responsibilities in the interim.

Durkin's status was announced Saturday by Maryland Director of Athletics Damon Evans.

The school already is investigating the death of 19-year-old offensive lineman Jordan McNair, who was hospitalized after a team workout on May 29 and died on June 13. Durkin had served as defensive coordinator at the University of MI and was brought to Maryland after previous coach Randy Edsall was sacked by the university.

Annual Perseid Meteor Shower Coming This Weekend
A New Moon occurs on August 11 which will make the night skies ideal for meteor shower watching before and after the peak night. Last year, the meteor shower was more hard to see, as the moon was three quarters full.

The report said McNair had "showed signs of extreme exhaustion" before he died of heatstroke suffered during the May workout. No cause of death has been officially released, but ESPN has since learned that heatstroke is the cause of death.

"Following the death of Maryland football player Jordan McNair in June, the University of Maryland commissioned an external review of the procedures and protocols surrounding athletes' health and safety".

Ben Jealous, the Democrat running for governor, published a tweet calling for Evans and Durkin's suspensions, ahead of the announcement that Durkin was placed on leave. The report cited multiple people close to the program. The sources also revealed allegations of unhealthy eating habits and using food punitively against the players.

USA to Increase Tariffs on Turkish Aluminum, Steel
Erdogan has been putting pressure on Turkey's central bank to not raise interest rates in order to keep fueling economic growth. Deteriorating ties between the US and Turkey - both North Atlantic Treaty Organisation members - have also alarmed investors.

After the Maryland athletic department placed Durkin on leave Saturday afternoon, Gov. Larry Hogan released a statement in support of the decision. If that former staffer had any guts, why didn't he put his name on it?

"I am extremely concerned by the allegations of unacceptable behavior by members of our football staff detailed in recent media reports".

Durkin wrote in a letter to the Baltimore Sun that the program was "cooperating fully" with investigators. Sources also told ESPN.com that Court, assistant athletic director of sports performance was also placed on leave.

"I like my players and my group"- Jose Mourinho
Mourinho was reportedly involved in bust-ups with Paul Pogba who was eventually dropped from the starting XI. Alderweireld was linked with a move to Manchester United throughout the transfer window.
