Nurse discovers premmie baby she cared for is now her colleague

When the doctor called his name,"it sounded very familiar, "said the nurse".

When Vilma recognised my name, it truly sank in that I was one of these babies.

The man in question - Brendan Seminatore - is now a second-year paediatric neurology resident at the Lucile Packard Children's Hospital. "To confirm my suspicion, I asked him if his dad was a police officer".

Seminatore weighed only two pounds and six ounces - the size of a small pineapple - when he was rushed in April 1990 after his mother's emergency C-section to the neonatal intensive care unit known as the NICU (pronounced NICK-U).

But last month, she saw a young Intern made a decision to find out who he is, Vilma told the Mercury News.

On the ensuing race off pit road, Keselowski edged out Larson to become the new leader. "We just haven't been able to do that". We had some good pit stops throughout the night. "We've just got to keep digging, keep working hard".

After 32 years working as a paediatric nurse, she'd met her fair share of people, so it was likely they had crossed paths. He's now grown up and works in the same hospital he was born in.

"A chance encounter at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Stanford has led to a heart-warming reunion between nurse and patient", a post on the hospital's Facebook page read.

Seminatore spent 40 days in NICU as an infant, checking out a healthy 5 pounds, 2 ounces. "And there was a big silence, and then he asked me if I was Vilma, I said yes". Seminatore was finally able to leave the hospital with his parents.

"She cares deeply for her patients, to the point that she was able to remember a patient's name nearly three decades later, " Seminatore added. But unlike most babies, one day years later he returned.

He was shocked she remembered him, especially because she takes care of so many babies in the unit.

Labour anti-Semitism: Protests erupt outside crunch IHRA meeting
I have no heart to go over the reasons I am leaving - there are too many - but in the final analysis it boils down to this: the Labour Party I loved is dead.

Vilma, now 54 said: "As a nurse, it's kind of like your reward", when you meet a child you once cared for as an infant as an adult. She told the paper she loves her job and has no plans of retiring.

"They were the most wonderful nurses", said Laura Seminatore, who was a kindergarten teacher in 1990 when her only son was born and is now the principal at St. John Vianney Catholic school in San Jose.

After the face-to-face meeting, Seminatore texted his parents with the news.

Seminatore, who is studying to be a childhood neurologist, is grateful for the care he received early in his life.
