Between excerpts from Bob Woodward's new book, Fear: Trump in the White House, and the New York Times op-ed from an anonymous administration official, people are starting to get a chilling glimpse of what it's really like inside the White House and just how little respect President Donald Trump commands from his staff.

Not once does Woodward even attempt to explain how such a "dysfunctional" president who "jeopardizes" national security and the economy, has, in fact, ushered in an American era of peace and prosperity for the first time since September 11, 2001. "The government doesn't keep a balance sheet like that". But Trump backed down once the initial news reports, which said the subpoenas were aimed at Trump's and his family's dealings with the bank, were inaccurate.

On Friday, President Trump said he knows of "four or five" people who could've been behind the op-ed, which described a plot within his administration of "many" senior officials who are "working diligently from within to frustrate parts of his agenda and his worst inclinations".

While the Federal Reserve controls the money supply, U.S. Presidents have traditionally stayed out of the decision making of the Fed.

President-elect Donald Trump stands with, left to right, Eric Trump, Ivanka Trump, and Donald Trump Jr. before he speaks at a press conference at Trump Tower in New York City, Jan. 11, 2017.

"A source tells us he [Trump] shouted out 'Bring back Hope Hicks!' Apparently, he preferred her response to ["Fire and Fury" author] Michael Wolff". Cohn announced his attention to leave the White House in March 2018, on April 2, Cohn was replaced by Larry Kudlow.

Donald Trump Jr., walks off Air Force One in Great Falls, Montana, on July 5, 2018. Sources said the bank was expecting it would have to turn over information on Trump's accounts to Mueller. "I don't even know why any of us are here".

On the eve of its release, the president took to Twitter with a preemptive round of attacks, denouncing as fiction Woodward's reconstruction of scenes in which frustrated aides scramble to contain the mercurial president's reckless impulses.

When Trump added an extra zero in his GDP tweet
On Sunday, Trump said in a tweet that "the Stock Market is up nearly 50% since Election". Economic data show this circumstance last occurred in early 2006, or about 12 years ago.

"We're certainly focused on things that actually matter", Sanders said on Monday afternoon. Trump alleged that the quotes were made up and accused the author for using tricks to demean him. Cohn's and Porter's denials seem geared toward tamping down tensions with the White House without totally discounting Woodward's reporting.

All the President's Men, published in 1974 just before Nixon resigned from the presidency, was made into a film in 1976.

In it, Woodward claims that Defense Secretary James Mattis once said the president has the understanding of "a fifth- or sixth-grader" and that White House Chief of Staff John Kelly called Trump an "idiot".

Woodward continues to work as an associate editor at the Post, helping expose China's alleged involvement in campaign financing in the 1996 United States election.
