Hundreds of millions of pounds allocated to improve mental health services for children may not have been spent as intended and could have been used elsewhere, Whitehall's spending watchdog has concluded. "In the United Kingdom and Australia, peer-to-peer education programs encourage young people to support one another".
How can you serve the mental health needs of a country where there are just 10 psychiatrists for a population of 13 million people?
"A child can suffer enormous stress due to small reasons like getting scolded or bullied in school, disputes between parents and even day-to-day pressure like forcing for a haircut", said Dr Arjun Raj Kunwar, child and adolescent psychiatrist at Kanti Children's Hospital.
