At Least 50 People, Including 7 Children, Killed in Kenya Bus Crash

At least 50 people were killed when their bus left the road, rolled down a slope and crashed in western Kenya, an official said Wednesday, with the roof of the bus ripped off.

According to eyewitnesses, the accident happened at 4 am.

Police and rescuers had counted 50 people dead, including seven children.

A survivor of the road accident revealed details of the moments leading up to the accident, according to a report by the Standard.

The extra passengers were seated on the bus floor since all seats were occupied.

He said the injured were rushed to Muhoroni sub-county and Kericho hospitals.
