Austin Powers’ actor Verne Troyer’s death ruled a suicide

The actor was rushed to a hospital with possible alcohol poisoning in early April, and then passed away about three weeks later on April 21. "Verne hoped he made a positive change with the platform he had and worked towards spreading that message every day", a statement on his Instagram page read shortly after his death. During this recent time of adversity he was baptized while surrounded by his family. He inspired people around the world with his drive, determination, and attitude.

It continued: "Depression and Suicide are very serious issues". Be kind to one another. After he was hospitalized, TMZ reported Troyer was placed on a 5150 hold because authorities believed he was suicidal.

The coroner's report noted that Troyer had a "history of alcohol abuse and depression".

It is not known how the European Union will respond to Google's appeal, nor how long it will take for the case to be heard.

He had previously sought treatment for alcoholism, having admitted himself to a rehab centre a year ago.

Along with his roles in "Austin Powers: The Spy Who Shagged Me" (1999) and "Austin Powers in Goldmember" (2002), Troyer also appeared in "Men in Black" (1997), "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" (1998), "Harry Potter and the Sorceror's Stone" (2001) and on reality TV.

In an appearance on "Jimmy Kimmel Live!" in May, Myers described Troyer as "a great physical comedian".

At the time, Troyer's team released a statement asking fans to "keep Verne in your thoughts and prayers".

"As written, Mini-Me is nearly a prop", Myers said, "but he brought it up off the page better than written and we just ended up giving him more and more stuff to do".

"I met President Obama, and he said, 'Mike, so glad to see you, how's Mini-Me?'" he later recalled. The actor called 911 himself, repeatedly saying on the call and when he arrived to the emergency room that he wanted to die, the report said.
