"Presidents never enjoy pointed questions from the press, but President Trump should respect their right to ask them and respect Americans enough to answer them".

"As a result of today's incident", Sanders added, "the White House is suspending the hard pass of the reporter involved until further notice".

In a tweet Mr Acosta says he was stopped by the Secret Service when he tried to re-enter the White House on Wednesday evening.

"When you report fake news, which CNN does a lot, you are the enemy of the people", Trump said. You are not my enemy. It was done in retaliation for his challenging questions at today's press conference. "She provided fraudulent accusations and cited an incident that never happened", stated CNN, a network that frequently labels White House statements as false in its coverage and on its chyrons. CNN's Ali Velshi tweeted his support, writing, "I worked with Jim @Acosta during my years @CNN". You are rude, awful person.

Not long into the conference, President Trump lost his temper with Acosta.

President Trump faced a very antagonistic media on the day after the midterm elections, offering a soft tone about his desire to work across the aisle with Nancy Pelosi and Democrats in the House.

Travelling to play the relative underdogs, the Merseyside club were expected to get a win. This season we've found that a bit hard .

To this, Trump responded, "You should let me run the country".

"I consider it an invasion". I didn't call you.'10. He then said "That's enough", as his aides tried to pull the mic away, and after Acosta asked him about the Russian Federation investigation, he completely snapped. "I mean, I think she could have won that race, but she didn't want to have any embrace". "You shouldn´t be working for CNN", he said.

But as Acosta pressed on and Alexander stood there, Trump turned back to the CNN reporter.

Mr Trump talked about his supposed popularity with black Americans and said he is more interested in advancing America's interests than having a globalist point of view.

When Acosta asked about the "Russia investigation", Trump said, "It's a hoax. Put down the mic".

When asked why Representative Jeff Flake of Arizona, who was not a head of any committe, retired, Trump replied: "I retired him". "You shouldn't be working for CNN". The way you treat [White House spokesperson] Sarah Sanders is awful. The way you treat other people is terrible. "You shouldn't treat people like that".

Soon, you'll have 10 minutes to 'unsend' a Facebook message
The users who had their mailboxes scrubbed of Zuckerberg's texts weren't even informed of the removal. You can finally take back your ill-conceived messages on Facebook .

Acosta persisted, saying: "They are hundreds of miles away".

"This conduct is beyond reprehensible", said Sean Hannity on his Fox broadcast Wednesday night.

"They are not only unsafe, they are disturbingly un-American", CNN said.

Mr Trump made several references in his news conference to how he feels mistreated by the press.

Still, the WHCA called the Acosta revocation "unacceptable".

By the time I posed my question, the president had been pacing at the podium just moments before.
