Lewis Hamilton: Valtteri Bottas won't want a gifted Formula 1 win

Sebastian Vettel Italian GP 2018
As it stands, barring any late surprises, 2019 will mark the third season in which the F1 calendar has comprised 21 races, the most in the sport's 69-year history.
'I am someone that really loves racing, but the season is long, it takes a big commitment from all of us, and it is a long time away from our families.
"It's not something I've asked Valtteri, if he'd want that, but I don't think he's going to want that". That said, when you've won five world drivers' championships, you probably have carte blanche to dress as you like.
"The pressure is still the same and I don't feel any different", Hamilton said upon arriving at Interlagos. You start preparing for next year as soon as the season is so done, so getting your mind tuned is very hard'.
The constructors' championship is yet to be decided with Ferrari cutting the gap to Mercedes to 55 points over the past two races, and Vettel says the recent form - with Kimi Raikkonen winning in Austin and both cars on the podium in Mexico - gives him confidence the team can take the fight to the final round.
Bottas confirmed he had no desire to win a race through team orders.
"But I am really hopeful we get in the auto this weekend and it feels more normal and we are more competitive", Hamilton added.
"We have a battle on our hands for the constructors' title and we have lost ground to Ferrari in each of the past race weekends".
"I don't think he is going to want that, he is going to win one on his own, in his own way", added the 33-year-old, who clinched the drivers' title with two races to spare in Mexico last month. "There's a lot of work to do, even at this point of the year". "Obviously along the way something went wrong and we need to learn from it... We're trying to win", he told reporters.
Bottas was leading September's Russian Grand Prix when he was asked by the Mercedes team to move over and gift victory to Hamilton.
Hamilton says he would prefer an 18-race schedule - every season since 2010 has featured at least 19.
"I definitely wouldn't want to win by being given [it]", he said. I don't think he needs that anyway, I think he can do it himself.
It's been a story of missed opportunities for the German driver and Ferrari in the past couple of seasons, the pair displaying solid strength in the first half the year only for their title bid to crumble after the summer, two years in succession.
"It's hard to explain why it has been tough for us, particularly in this last one, but I really hope the auto this weekend feels more normal and we are more competitive".
