Meghan has already become involved with new projects since joining the Royal family earlier this year, including a charity cookbook to help those affected by the Grenfell Tower fire.
As for her time in the White House, she said it is "impossible to single out one day" as the most fun or memorable, but she noted that interacting with children and young people always made her 'feel good'.
Both Obama and Markle both share a special interest in women and girls and equality. "I tell woman that whole 'you can have it all.' nope, not at the same time-that's a lie", she said.

Michelle Obama inadvertently swore at a public event in NY and people seem to be losing their minds in unbridled joy over the outburst.
Upon hearing her utter a profanity, the packed 19,000-seat arena lost it, erupting in cheers and laughter. "What's inspiring to me is that so numerous young women I've met are triumphing in incredible ways".
The crowd applauded when the word dropped while Obama laughed it off.
Author and political commentator Toure Neblett tweeted that "everyone freaked out".
"When I was younger, I often wondered whether this kind of obsessive thinking was unique to me and my girlfriends, but I realize now that it was something every girl feels", she adds. "And so, overall, we are not seeing a major increase in female leadership in any industry or in any government in the world, and I think that's a shame". "I'm like, 'Duh.' Marriage is hard, you know".
Obama was talking about the term "Lean In" that was introduced by Facebook Chief Operating Officer Sheryl Sandberg who published a book by same name. The concept is linked to the ambitious idea that women, as long as they try, can be successful at home and at work.
The 54-year-old has been candid about her experiences since she began promoting her new book.
Perhaps Sandberg should take Obama's advice to heart and lean out for a bit.
NASA probe Osiris-Rex becomes ancient asteroid's first visitor
The Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency's (JAXA) Hayabusa 2 spacecraft recently lowered two small rovers onto a distant asteroid. The agency describes Bennu as "a carbonaceous asteroid whose regolith may record the earliest history of our solar system".
Sandberg's approach has been criticised for suggesting that individual women have to be the solution to workplace inequality rather than widespread policy changes.
In a study this year, a group of Duke University psychology professors used 2,000 participants to test the "lean in" approach and how it worked with structural and systemic disadvantages women face in the workplace.
"I think it's OK - it's good, even - to do that ..."
