Duke and Duchess of Cambridge have a ball with military families
by Joe Gammie
Posing for a holiday snap alongside military personnel who are spending their Christmas in Cyprus, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge stood in for a Christmas photo at which point William basically pointed out that Kate was dressed like the backdrop.
It happened at an event in the grounds of Kensington Palace, where they staged a Santa's grotto for children with a parent based at RAF Coningsby or RAF Marham.
He said about William and Kate: "For them to come out here and recognise the service, it goes to show that the work the men and women are doing is still valued".
One’s winter wonderland Royal couple in high spirits
The Duchess told the military families at the children's party that, as the wife of "someone whose husband has served", she understood "how it feels when a loved one leaves home to do the job they're trained for".
At the event, William gave a rousing speech to the troops, saying, "We know this isn't easy for you or your wives, husbands, children and friends back in the United Kingdom but on behalf of everyone at home, we'd like to say a big thank you".
She, along with Prince William, paid a visit to Cyprus to attend the opening of Oasis, a recreation center where servicemen can get some quiet time to contact their families.
Indian bat Pujara content in Kohli shadow
The 14-man squad announced two weeks ago was dismissed by local media as the worst collection of Australian batsmen in history. I want him to play because he is technically better than the rest of the batsmen apart from Virat.
The witty dad joke from HRH garnered quite some laugh from both Kate and the military personnel who were all captured laughing at William's one-liner. But she added: 'I can't imagine how it feels when your loved ones are away on active service over Christmas'. Five-year-old Harry is being looked after for six months by his grandparents.
"William said he'd remember Harry's name and mention him to his dad when he saw him in Cyprus".
The couple are flying to RAF Akrotiri in Cyprus on Wednesday where some of the loved ones of the families they met are based, and will take with them a collection of early Christmas presents for the RAF personnel.

He also praised the sacrifices of their families, many of whom the couple had met on Tuesday, when they held a party at Kensington Palace and collected gifts to transport to the base.
Baby born to woman with uterus from deceased donor
Deceased donor uterus transplants have been attempted in the past few years, but none resulted in the birth of a healthy baby. She received the uterus during a 10.5-hour surgery in September 2016 from a 45-year-old donor who had died of a stroke.

If the booster had veered off-course more than two minutes before landing, Gebhardt said, then it would have exploded. Unfortunately, SpaceX suffered a malfunction when a grin fin hydraulic pump stalled and Falcone landed out to sea.
