Nokia 8.1 with Snapdragon 710 processor launched
While HMD Global is hosting an event in New Delhi on December 10 to launch a new Nokia smartphone, there is no confirmation as to whether Nokia 8.1 would be launched or not. On the rear side, the handset boasts of dual camera setup comprising of 12-megapixel autofocus sensor with f/1.8 aperture along with a 5-megapixel sensor.
The device comes with a hybrid SIM card slot where the user can choose between the secondary SIM and the MicroSD card. The Nokia 8.1 is dubbed as the global variant of the Nokia X7 smartphone that was launched in China in October. The display features an FHD+ resolution of 2246 x 1080 pixels and an impressive 86.5-percent screen ratio. It also gets the PureDisplay screen technology that was first introduced with the Nokia 7.1. While there is a rear-facing fingerprint sensor, the device also comes with face unlock support. The LCD panel also offers brightness up to 500 nits. The front of this device also sports the NOKIA logo on the chin. It features a two-tone design, and is built out of 6000-Series aluminium that has diamond cut edges and has been through two anodising processes, the company claims. Included in the launch mix are Blue/Silver, Steel/Copper, and Iron/Steel. Internally, the phone is powered by the Snapdragon 636 processor which is coupled with 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage. It will be driven by a 2.2GHz octa-core Snapdragon 710 chipset and will pack a 3,400mAh battery and should ship with Android 9 Pie as part of the Android one program.
-The Nokia 8.1 rear camera is AI-enabled and automatically detects scenes. The primary sensor gets a 1.4 micron pixel, OIS, EIS and 2PD support. The main sensor is a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor paired with aa 13MP depth sensor. Plus, there's a 20MP camera on the front. Connectivity options are said to include Wi-Fi, GPS, Bluetooth, USB Type-C, FM, 3G and 4G. It measures 154.8x75.76x7.97mm, and weighs in at 178 grams.
