Google One subscribers can get up to $200 off Pixel 3/XL
The December security patch is rolling out to Pixel and Nexus devices, with Google taking to opportunity to implement a number of updates and bugfixes for the Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL that launched back on October 9th. Google has announced in a blog post that the Pixel 3 and 3XL will soon be available with eSIM support (hard luck to anyone who's already bought one, then).
It's not a bad discount, however US users are being offered a code which discounts the Pixel 3 and 3 XL by $125 (or around $173.6 AUD). Pixel 3 users can also look forward to retooled autofocus behaviour and improved shutter performance after they install the update. First, Google has adjusted the volume behaviour when connecting to a Bluetooth device, which applies to all Pixel phones.
Are you thinking about getting a loved one a top camera phone this year for Christmas? The app looks like an updated version of the Sounds menu found in the Pixel Settings.
However, Google also releases the OTA and factory images for all its updates, and the December update is now live for those who prefer to flash OS updates to their devices manually.
