The Falcon 9 launched with no problems
Earlier, RBC-Ukraine reported that SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket with 64 microsatellites.
The booster spent two days in the water while teams worked to retrieve it after a malfunction with its grid fins caused the booster to miss its target: the Cape Canaveral Air Force Station's Landing Zone 1.
The rocket was being used to send a capsule of cargo up to the International Space Station. The first-stage rockets have a 84 percent recovery rate, according to the company.
The Dragon cargo ship successfully made it to orbit, which was the primary goal of the launch.
"The important point here is we have a safety function on board that makes sure the vehicle does not go on land until everything is OK, and that worked perfectly", SpaceX vice president Hans Koenisgman said.
"Grid fin hydraulic pump stalled, so Falcon landed just out to sea", said SpaceX CEO Elon Musk in a tweet.
Luckily, the mission controllers were able to stabilize the rocket in time with some bursts from the engine, bringing the first stage in for a soft landing on water off the coast of Florida.
To the global space station kicked off the sixteenth mission of the cargo ship Dragon under the NASA contract with SpaceX. The mission was also historic because it involved a booster making its third successful landing. The rocket was loaded with supplies, science experiments and food for the astronauts living there.
In spite of this space has created a series of Falcon Rockets.
The Dragon spacecraft, carrying almost 3 tons of science and supplies, is scheduled to rendezvous with the International Space Station on Saturday.
