For millions of people, changing eating habits for the better will near the top of the list of New Year's Resolution lists. Research also links the Mediterranean Diet to longer lifespans.

To follow the Mediterranean diet, one must eat a mostly plant-based diet of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, legumes and nuts. Replace butter with healthy fats like olive or canola oil, use herbs and spices instead of salt, limit meat consumption to just three times a month tops and have some fish and poultry a couple times each week.

The Weight Watchers diet tied for fourth place with the MIND diet.

David Nutter , known for his Emmy-winning work on " Game of Thrones " will direct the pilot. The network released an official synopsis for the upcoming pilot.

WW offers its members support online and is well-known for its in-person group meetings.
