Samsung's new Notebook Odyssey gaming laptop packs an RTX 2080
08 January 2019, 06:23 | Casey Mitchell
Samsung just announced during its CES 2019 press conference the imminent arrival of a pair of new notebook PCs - laptops which the company unveiled today as the Samsung Notebook 9 Pro and the Samsung Notebook Flash.
Samsung was also showing off the Notebook Flash at CES, and announced that this affordable laptop will be launching in the U.S. on January 15. To dress up its plastic chassis, Samsung gave it a textile pattern that looks and feels like twill.
The lid cover looks like a donut with sprinkles on top, spread in uniform rows across the lid. Samsung doesn't sell IT products locally, so you'll have to import the Notebook Odyssey from overseas if it tickles your fancy. Sure, the Intel Celeron N4000 or Pentium Silver N5000 might not win races, but, with 4 GB RAM and 64 GB eMMC, it can still get the job done. Especially since it's running Windows 10 Home. As far as the design, Samsung is touting a "cool metal exterior" with diamond-cut edges - perfect, the company says, for creatives who want something stylish that also offers fast performance.
The Notebook Flash has a fingerprint scanner, and a retro typewriter-style keyboard design both of which differentiate it from your run-of-the-mill budget notebook.
The Packers Have Reportedly Made A Head Coaching Decision
He takes over for Mike McCarthy , who was sacked during the season following a stunning home loss to Arizona on December 2. The early expectation is that Pettine stays in Green Bay, though Lafleur will make a firm call when it's official.
The new Samsung Notebook 9 Pro features an 8th Generation Intel Core i7-8565U processor with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 256GB of NVMe storage.
Samsung expects the new Notebook 9 Pro to be available in early 2019; no pricing is available yet, but I wouldn't be surprised if it started upward of $1,000. The thin aluminum body looks clean and modern, and with the thinner bezels around the 13.3-inch full HD display, you're looking at mostly screen whether you're using it as a laptop or tablet. Somewhat curiously, the option to add an LTE modem is absent, even though it's available on several other Samsung laptops.
NFL Assistant Coach Reportedly Becoming Ohio State’s Co-DC
The significant shake-up to the coaching staff comes at the conclusion of Ryan Day's first week as the program's new head coach. Day and company landed former MI defensive line coach Greg Mattison, who will serve as the team's co-defensive coordinator.
The Samsung Notebook Flash is expected to go on sale January 15 at Amazon and Samsung.com for $350.
Clemson redshirts and coaches at Media Day
I've had my doubts all season that Alabama was the clear-cut No. 1 team over Clemson, and this is the Tigers' chance to prove it. ESPN will have live broadcasts of the game on four of its channels, including its ESPN Megacast on ESPN.
