We've know for some time that the 7-Series would get an update in 2019. Further amplifying this character are revised headlamps which look a lot sharper than before. The blue tinge to the lamps indicates that these use BMW's Laserlight illumination. The bumper has also been restyled with larger outboard intakes that frankly sort of remind us of those on the rear of today's sporty Honda Civics.
As was a certainty, the 2019 BMW 7 Series facelift flaunts a set of styling elements that are a part of the company's latest design language. However, it features a new all-digital instrument cluster like the 8 Series and a new, larger infotainment screen. The auto pictured here is riding on multi-spoke alloy wheels.
Under the hood, the updated 7 is likely to carry forward with its current range of engines. Specifications of the petrol and the diesel trims are also under a wrap, but the present plug-in hybrid variant will make way for a new version that will be called '745e iPerformance'. The slats also have blacked out flaps behind them that can close and open according to the speed of the vehicle and the head generated by the engine to optimise aerodynamics and thermal efficiency. As always, the BMW 7 Series will only be offered in India in the Li variant or the long wheelbase option and will be well over the Rs 1 Crore mark.
