Bus driver Irena Ivic had started her morning just like any other when she was shocked to see the baby boy on the side of the road in Milwaukee in the U.S. state of Wisconsin in December. Video shared on Facebook by the MCTS shows Ivic bringing the child back to the bus, where a passenger offered her coat to keep her warm.
"Thank you, Irena and all members of the MCTS team, for your compassion, commitment to the community, and MCTS Excellence", MCTS officials said via a statement given to WISN-TV. "I couldn't believe that somebody left the child on the street". He said he believes his wife, who he said has a mental illness, took the baby to the church just across the freeway and forgot about her. When he saw the police gathered near his home, and noticed his daughter was not there, he ran outside. The child, less than a year old, was reunited with its father.
