Second generation Mercedes CLA first shown at CES Las Vegas

Styling-wise, the new auto is less radically revised compared to its hatch sibling, and the general shape and lines makes it somewhat of a scaled-down CLS.

On the outside, the CLA now looks more bratty with a sharper grille and bumper. The overhangs are smaller and everything looks more taut.

"This is not the only new feature by which the CLA offers a great deal of automotive intelligence".

There are a number of appealing mechanical changes compared to the similar A-Class.

Samsung Galaxy S10 Lite Geekbench listing reveals Snapdragon 855, 6 GB RAM
The front camera may see a modification, becoming a part of the screen in the form of a small hole in the display. This feature is not new in the smartphone world, the Huawei Mate 20 Pro launched previous year with this feature.

Advanced driving assistance systems (ADAS) from the S-Class will trickle down to the all-new CLA-Class. It makes 221 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, up slightly from the last model's 208-hp turbo-4.

In its design, the new CLA has echoes of the A-class and other recent new Mercedes but gets an elongated bonnet featuring a sharply raked nose, uniquely designed flat headlights and a prominent "powerdome" on the bonnet. Considering the engine's increased power, it should be more exciting than the A-Class, though we hope the transmission is more responsive.

While the CLA always had a very sexy interior, the new CLA gets an upgrade on that front too.

The cabin which debuted with the all-new A-Class previous year has replaced the older setup here.

Wawrinka comments on Roger Federer, Rafa Nadal, Novak Djokovic's dominance
Williams will face Tatjana Maria in the first round, and could meet either Genie Bouchard or Peng Shaui in the second. Not just physically, but also mentally, to see that I could beat Grigor Dimitrov twice, he was top-10 at that time.

In any case, the second-generation CLA isn't as radical a departure from the norm as it largely follows the same formula as its popular (particularly in the USA) predecessor - retaining its sleek four-door coupe profile thanks to its low and swoopy roofline. It is essentially a stunted CLS Class with features of the A Class thrown in and reduced interior space. The dashboard is fairly low, and the air vents are the flashy round metallic units used on most other models. Automatic emergency braking, active lane control, and blind-spot monitors will be spend-up extras, but Mercedes says that the CLA-Class will be able to drive itself "semi-autonomously in certain situations", though it didn't say for how long or what those situations may be.

Local prices and specifications of the Mercedes-Benz CLA will be revealed closer to its launch. However, the new variant is expected to be a little costlier than the current version. An Edition 1 model will be available in the car's first year of production, and this one will feature the usual accoutrements of the type.

In 2019, Mercedes-Benz will introduce some of the most fascinating and never seen before products in India.
