The publication notes that it is unlikely that the company will talk about any physical products at the March event, including the AirPods 2 or the rumoured next-generation iPad mini.

According to sources that spoke to BuzzFeed, Apple will use the event to unveil its rumored news service, which will add paid subscription options to Apple News.

Apple also reportedly wants outlets to commit to supplying news for at least a year, which has also faced resistant from publishers who would prefer a shorter commitment.

Michelle Obama’s mom questions her Grammys appearance in amusing text message exchange
Obama, 55, made a surprise appearance on the Grammys stage Sunday and gave her mother a heads up to tune in - or so she thought. Tonight in Phoenix, I shared this text thread from my mom from #Grammys night, and I just had to share it with all of you.

According to the report, the event will take place on Monday, March 25 and will be held at Apple's Steve Jobs Theater on the Apple Park Campus. Apple's TV app now can't see any content from Netflix, and it sounds like Netflix won't integrate with Apple's new service as well. Yesterday, Buzzfeed News reported the company was holding this event to introduce a subscription news product, but it also seems like the timing would work to introduce its video subscription service as well.

Apple already offers a similar service for free called Apple News, which aggregates top stories from free providers.

Another report by The Wall Street Journal, however, has said that Apple is having dramas with publishing partners, and rightfully so, because the company is apparently asking for a 50 per cent revenue cut from subscriptions. In the quarter ended December, services gross margin hit 63 per cent, up from 58.3 per cent a year ago.

Australia will reopen its Christmas Island detention centre
Even still, Mr Shorten believes the "incompetent and divided" Morrison government should call an election as soon as possible. Refugee advocates applaud the law that they regard as a more humanitarian approach toward asylum seekers.

OnLeaks, on the other hand, has written a Tweet stating that his sources has told him that the new AirPods will not be released until "the fall".

As far as this rumor goes, looks like we will have to wait until March to find out what Apple has in store for its customers, so stay tuned for more coverage from our side.

This reticence is exacerbated by the loss of subscriber data such as credit card, email and address information which would come with ceding control to the middle man.

Mbappe stars as PSG hand Solskjaer's Man Utd a reality check
A repeat of that 3-0 win in Paris next month would take United through to the quarterfinals. It would have been more but for some fine goalkeeping from David de Gea.

Apple declined to comment on the report.
