The Mars One project has been declared bankrupt
On January 15th, The Swiss-based Ventures AG was declared bankrupt by a Basel court and was, at the time, valued at nearly $100 million. "For the execution of the actual voyage to Mars, the company will continue to seek strategic collaboration with renowned companies and organizations involved with the travel to Mars", it now says. A user posted a link to financial documents suggesting that Mars One was set to be liquidated.
He stated that the nonprofit foundation of Mars One, the Netherlands-based Mars One Foundation, was still alive but has no investment to add any value to the company.
Mars One selected volunteers all over the world who agreed to go to the Red Planet without the possibility of returning back to Earth.
Reserve your Galaxy S10 now and receive it by March 8
When compared to the OnePlus 6T, the Galaxy S10 and S10 + will seemingly come with a bigger in-display fingerprint sensor area. Across the board, all three models will be powered by an Exynos 9820 processor and it comes with at least 6GB of RAM.
For now, that's all Mars One is saying on the matter. Also, in 2014, two graduate students from MIT created a report looking at the feasibility of the Mars One mission, claiming that the technology was simply not mature enough for the plan to work and that it would require far more cash and deliveries of extra parts than the mission claimed.
In 2013, the space venture attracted applications from 202,586 people in just five months, drawing interest from some 140 countries. The total debts of Mars One amount to CHF 1.1 million (approximately € 1 million). The list was cut down to 1,058 finalists - who then went through several more rounds of reductions.
"I actually decided and told my parents when I was 8 years old that I was going to be an astronaut and go to Mars", Beemer told NPR in 2014.
