As a result the Q30 auto and QX30 sports-utility vehicle will no longer be made in the UK.

The decision is part of a wider global restructuring plan for Infiniti, according to bosses, who have been reluctant to boost R&D investments for the cars to meet stricter European Union legislation around Carbon dioxide emissions when so few models are bought in Europe. The stores will remain operational until a transition plan is put in place.
