He got out his auto and tried to take a picture of the man who then allegedly fired an arrow at him.

A man has been charged after he allegedly fired a bow and arrow at another man, with the victim walking away suffering only a minor injury thanks to his iPhone.

An Australian is lucky to be alive after allegedly stopping an arrow with his mobile phone in a confrontation with a man in the small town of Nimbin, in the state of New South Wales, on Wednesday.

The man held his phone up to snap a photo of the armed man, who is alleged to have fired an arrow at the resident, which ended up piercing his phone.

The arrow struck the mobile phone, penetrating the device and emerged on the other side.

That was the case for a 43-year-old man in Australia who came under attack by another man, according to police.

The arrow went right through the phone, which hit the man in the chin.

It left a small laceration that didn't require medical treatment.

Officers from Richmond Police District were called and arrested a 39-year-old man at the scene.
