Dolphins emerging to fight Teddy Bridgewater away from Saints

Teddy Bridgewater and the Miami Dolphins may be returning to the negotiating table.

Free-agent quarterback Teddy Bridgewater is reportedly choosing to sign with the New Orleans Saints instead of the Miami Dolphins, according to ESPN's Dianna Russini.

If Payton stays with the Saints, the plan is for Bridgewater to eventually take over as the team's starting quarterback.

That may not have been the case had Bridgewater signed in Miami.
