Samsung Intends to Hide Cameras Under Phone Displays

Samsung wants to put cameras, sensors beneath screens to create full-screen smartphones
However, the company's R&D Vice President, Yang Byung-duk, says that such a design will take a year or two at least. Practically all new phones have screens that stretch edge-to-edge with very thin bezels surrounding them. However, as Samsung said, placing camera sensors beneath the display is a little tricky and the company will need more time to flawless its design and engineering process.
Ultimately when the technology does arrive in phones, it will likely be accompanied the integration of other technologies such as speakers and fingerprint readers in the screen itself, making the dream of the all-screen phone finally a reality. Samsung calls this its "Infinity O" display, and it allows the company to expand the size of the phones' screen without sacrificing its front-facing cameras.
As CNBC reports, Samsung is working on such a solution, but it won't appear anytime soon. The new illustrated wallpapers not only accommodate the hole-punch camera cutout on the phone's display, but actively incorporate the visual element into the overall wallpaper design, transforming it into a telescope lens, light hinge, periscope head, and more.
"Though it wouldn't be possible to make (a full-screen smartphone) in the next 1-2 years, the technology can move forward to the point where the camera hole will be invisible, while not affecting the camera's function in any way", he said.

A similar white top was worn by a woman shown in CCTV footage from the terminal minutes after Jong-nam was poisoned to death. The judge said Huong was not well enough to continue with the trial on Thursday, and adjourned proceedings until April 1.
Of course, by the time Apple gets the technology Samsung will have had it for a year or so. The Korea-based electronics giant showed off its flexible display technology as far back as 2013, but only debuted its first foldable phone in 2019.
Steam Link Anywhere lets you stream games from, well, anywhere
For those playing games instead of making them, Steam Link is now officially usable outside of home networks, albeit in open beta. It should be added that iOS users are now out of luck, as Apple keep rejecting Valve's attempts to get the app on the App Store.
