Having gone from The X Factor to the top of the music charts, Camila Cabello has basically lived a fairy tale already, so why not star in one?
Production on the next movie is said to have been fast-tracked by Sony, meaning Camila has a busy year ahead as she continues to work on her second solo album. The Hollywood Reporterfirst reported the news. After some success, Camila departed from the group to embark on her solo career and it was seemingly the best career move she made since she had major success with her self-titled debut album and her most popular track, "Havana" featuring Young Thug.
The iconic princess role is the latest chapter in Cabello's own Cinderella story: she gained recognition at age 16 as part of the girl group Fifth Harmony.
Cabello celebrated the news by tweeting a since-deleted photo of the cartoon Cinderella looking shocked, before sharing a photo of herself on a bench. She went on to grab two Grammy nominations this year and her hit single "Havana" holds the record for the most-streamed song by a female artist on Spotify with over 1 billion streams.
