Gender pay gap

Despite sex discrimination being outlawed in the 1970s, men in Britain earned on average 17.9 percent more than women past year, according to government data.

New figures have revealed nine of the 10 companies in the north-east with a discernible gap are oil and gas firms.

The detailed information that must be published under the ministerial regulations includes the mean and median gap in hourly pay between men and women; the mean and median gap in bonus pay between men and women; the mean and median gap in hourly pay of part-time male and female employees; the percentage of men and of women who received bonuses and benefits-in-kind.

A spokesman for Cape insisted the figures did not "represent inequality" within the firm and that it pays people fairly "regardless of gender".

Following that incident, Rugby Australia boss Raelene Castle urged Folau to use social media in a more positive manner. Former Wales worldwide Gareth Thomas, who came out as gay in 2009, also responded to Folau's comments on Twitter.

The Equal Pay Act was signed by President John F. Kennedy more than half a century ago, yet today, women in MI earn.78 cents for every dollar earned by a man. Employers must pay all employees the same salaries for similar work, but the wage gap looks at the overall picture of money earned in a year, not specific workplaces.

In their supporting narrative, Marie Stopes said that differences in the pay gap were due to there being disproportionately more men in certain divisions of the workforce.

And Jim Bruce, training executive for Tullos Training in Aberdeen, said that the industry as a whole is suffering from a shortage of women looking to join the sector or take up energy apprenticeships. "This challenge requires longer-term change within institutions across the healthcare sector, and we remain committed to being part of that change".

"It's a real shame, as women often make better engineers".

Omar al-Bashir addresses the National Dialogue Committee meeting at the Presidential Palace in Khartoum, Sudan April 5, 2019. At least 11 people died in the violence, including six members of the armed forces, the information minister has confirmed.

She added that the industry "must work together to encourage more women into those jobs".

The median gap is the difference in hourly pay between the employee in the middle of the range of male wages, and the middle employee in the range of female wages.

Last week, the Charity Commission admitted it published incorrect gender pay gap figures in its report previous year. This marks the second year that information on gender pay gaps has been available.

Suffering on the rise from Libya armed conflict, migrants moved
Rival leaders agreed a year ago to hold elections before December 10, 2018 under a French plan, but that vote never materialized. As well as the 47 deaths, 181 people were said to have been injured in recent clashes, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.

"However, we also think there is still much to be done, and this will need sustained focus for years to come - there is no quick fix".
