It's claimed that Madonna could be getting as much as $1 million for the performance, paid for by Israeli-Canadian billionaire Sylvan Adams. It would be when she makes that big appearance in Tel Aviv on 18 May.
The Material Girl and the contest's producers also have already butted heads apparently because the new song she plans to debut contains political messages, Haaretz reported.
Despite this, however, Eurovision organisers told the BBC that "No final decisions have been made, or agreements signed".
Reports in the Israeli press recommended coordinators had hesitations about the topic of Madonna's performance.
Madonna has had a long association with Israel, going as far as launching her MDNA tour in Tel Aviv in 2012. Rumors she was in negotiations to perform at the high-profile global event began months ago.
A number of artists including Roger Waters, Brian Eno and Wolf Alice and filmmakers Ken Loach and Mike Leigh have called for a boycott of the Eurovision in Tel Aviv.
Israel won the Eurovision Song Contest for the first time in two decades previous year, with Netta Barzilai's women's empowerment anthem, "Toy".
"Tell Madonna that performing at Eurovision in Israel means lending her star-power to cover up Israel's continued human rights abuses and harms the Palestinian struggle for freedom, justice and equality", said PACBI in the Tweet that came with the hashtag #MadonnaDontGo.
