Chicago's Star Wars Celebration event started on the right foot this morning with the Episode IX panel.

Abrams knows that we'll be picking apart trailer clues for months (Rise of Skywalker doesn't hit theaters until December 20, 2019).

Menacing laughter from Emperor Palpatine is heard as the screen goes black, then the Star Wars logo is seen in blue. Some of the original Star Wars cast members might make an appearance as well, with Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker) and Billy Dee Williams (Lando Calrissian) at the top of the list. We have old friends and Luke Skywalker in a voiceover in the beginning.

Hangouts Meet is G Suite's enterprise video conferencing software, and it too is getting more smarts with two new capabilities. However, an event can not yet be created through the Assistant, although this feature should be available in future.

The title and trailer for Episode 9 are expected to be revealed today at the Episode 9 panel. Fisher died in 2016, but Abrams said that in a "weird miracle" he was able to piece together unused footage from "Last Jedi" to continue the beloved character's story.

"This movie is about the new generation and what they inherited, The Light and The Dark, and answer the question as they face the greatest evil, are they prepared?" "The Rise of Skywalker" isn't scheduled for release until December 20.

Carrie Fisher's performance will be all her. Audiences aren't aware enough of the fact this is the final film in the Skywalker Saga yet. He said that he "can't wait for people to see" what's in store for the film.

Assange's Alleged Aide Reportedly Arrested Trying to Leave Ecuador
In a Twitter post, WikiLeaks said Ecuador "illegally terminated Assange's political asylum in violation of global law". The arrest came after British police dragged Assange out of Ecuador's embassy when his seven-year asylum was revoked.

Asked about when The Rise of Skywalker takes place in relation to The Last Jedi, Abrams confirmed that some time had passed since we last saw Rey, Finn, Poe, and Rose. He added, "You don't recast and you don't suddenly have her disappear". So we said: 'What if we could write scenes about her so it's her performance?' I'm just not here for every single thing linking back to special blood and "who is Snoke" and all that sh-t. Star Wars isn't a series that's specific to just one generation. This included Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Joonas Suotamo, Kelly Marie Tran, Naomi Ackie and BB-8. Kennedy described the film as "the third act of a three-act structure", with Abrams concurring that it's "the end of three trilogies".

Certain to dominate the DVD galaxy, the much-anticipated release of "Star Wars Episode VIII: The Last Jedi" is now yours to own.
