Among other Pulitzer Prizes for journalism and the arts announced Monday, the Los Angeles Times won the Investigative Reporting award for a series of articles on a USC gynaecologist who was accused of sexual misconduct with young patients over more than a quarter-century.

Pulitzers also went to the New York Times and Wall Street Journal for investigations of President Trump.

The Capital Gazette was given a special citation for its coverage and courage in the face of a massacre in its own newsroom.

David Blight, the Class of 1954 Professor of American History and director of the Gilder Lehrman Center for the Study of Slavery, Resistance, and Abolition, and Jackie Sibblies Drury '03, a lecturer in playwriting at the Yale School of Drama, were awarded 2019 Pulitzer Prizes.
