Russell Wilson becomes NFL's highest-paid player in blockbuster deadline deal
The Green Bay Packers signed Aaron Rodgers for $33.5 million a year and gave him $57.5 million to sign last year. ESPN's Adam Schefter confirmed the deal noting it to be worth $140 million over 4 years with a $65 million signing bonus.
As you might expect, news of Wilson's blockbuster new deal was greeted by plenty of reaction online, with Wilson's former Seahawks teammate, safety Earl Thomas, congratulating the quarterback on his new contract, while current teammate, linebacker Bobby Wagner, also tweeted his congratulations.
Wilson reported to the team's off-season conditioning program Monday, according to ESPN.
"Seattle, we have a deal", Wilson said in the video early Tuesday morning.
"As Prescott prepares for his final season to work as an underpaid individual (in National Football League terms), you can see, finally, the attendant desperation of that reality", Cowlishaw said. "The Cowboys signed or traded for three veterans - wide receiver Randall Cobb, defensive end Robert Quinn and safety George Iloka - all on one-year deals, hoping to capitalize on this final shot at doing what Seattle did so well with its young quarterback".
Since the Seahawks' contract with Percy Harvin in 2013, they have put a clause in contracts that guaranteed all or parts of the second year base if the player is on the roster five days after the Super Bowl. They won't be able to pay their other core players the way they did when Wilson was on his rookie deal years ago, and we've seen the implications of that.
Bernie Sanders defends Ilhan Omar: She's not antisemitic
But, she added: "It's absolutely abhorrent the comments she continues to make and has made and (Democrats) look the other way". Sanders defended Omar's remarks by attacking Trump in a tweet, writing: " Ilhan Omar is a leader with strength and courage".
He'll make $157 million in the next five years, including the $17 million he was set to earn in 2019.
Wonder if Future is one of them... Wilson has led the Seahawks to the playoffs in six of his seven seasons, the only miss coming in 2017 when Seattle finished 9-7. "You're always the first person in, and the last person out". Without Clark, Reed's ability to get to the quarterback would be even more important, and he could get paid like it. His son, Stephen, has said as much as well.
Kanell and Raja Bell talk more about the record deal and why the Seahawks had to get it done. "He is the league's best player". "Thanks for being who you are as a man and friend". I know Dak. His No. 1 goal here is to win Super Bowl championships. He's a victor; he's a leader. "I love Seattle, and it's a special place for me".
MA beats Denver in OT
Denver's Ian Mitchell was cutting through the neutral zone when he was struck in the side of the head by Chaffee's right shoulder. But I'm not going to say he won the game. "I got on him and told him to shoot the puck; he didn't have a choice there".
Islanders Silence Mighty Pens Again, Take 3-0 Series Lead

The earliest return released yesterday, for 2009, was done by hand, which may indicate that the Sanders did the taxes themselves. He also conceded that vague promises from Sanders and the campaign about their plans had contributed to the speculation.
