President Trump on Wednesday granted full pardon to former media mogul Conrad Black who wrote a book on Trump

President Donald Trump has issued a full pardon for Conrad Black, a former media mogul who was convicted on counts of wire fraud and obstruction of justice and who also wrote a biography that praised the president previous year.

Black is also a friend of the president's, and frequently praises him in his newspaper columns.

There are two genres of books about Trump published during his presidency.

Mr Black, 74, a Canadian-born British citizen, once ran an worldwide newspaper empire that included the Chicago Sun-Times, Britain's Daily Telegraph and the Jerusalem Post.

In 2007, Black was convicted of obstruction of justice and fraud, for illegally pocketing money that should have gone to stockholders. During his 2007 trial, Trump had been expected to testify as a witness in Black's defense, before Black's lawyers made a decision to not have him testify.

Boeing 737 Max crash: FAA defends handling of aircraft after deadly crashes
Representative Rick Larsen, a Washington Democrat who chaired the hearing, said he would press for answers to ensure safety. The FAA has defended the certification process for the 737 Max, saying it was done according to long-standing practice.

An appeals court reversed two convictions, but left two others in place.

Black was found guilty in the United States in 2007 of scheming to siphon off millions of dollars from the sale of newspapers owned by Hollinger Inc., where he was chief executive and chairman.

"My long ordeal with the USA justice system was never anything but a confluence of unlucky events, the belligerence of several corporate governance charlatans, and grandstanding local and American judges", Black wrote. They include former secretary of state Henry Kissinger, Sir Elton John, Rush Limbaugh, and the late William F. Buckley Jr.

Sanders said Black is the author of several notable biographies, including volumes on Presidents Franklin D. Roosevelt and Richard Nixon, but she did not mention his book about Trump.

However, the statement from the White House announcing Black's pardon on Wednesday contains a callback to Trump's earlier role in Black's saga. Black had not applied for a pardon from Trump and did not wish to discuss the matter, the magazine Maclean's reported.

Sofia From John Wick Found in the Fortnite Game Files
On the jibes of " John Wick ", 54-year-old Reeves told Colbert that he and stuntman Jason Spidell split the film's intense stunts. Keanu was struck by these heartbreaking losses just years after his close friend and fellow actor River Phoenix died in 1993.

He continues to write columns for the National Post.

Critics have accused Mr Trump of using his powers of pardon to address what he believes are political wrongs.

Their business dealings had intersected on a real estate transaction in Chicago when one of Black's companies, Hollinger International, sold the building that had housed the Chicago Sun-Times newspaper to Trump for a land-development deal.

"If you were able to put in a cameo appearance and say a supporting word, I'm sure it would have an impact on the group and be favourably noted in the press", Black wrote.

Every Celebrity Cameo in Game of Thrones
Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers apparently made a brief cameo appearance on HBO's Game of Thrones on Sunday, May 12. Based on what happened throughout the episode, it seems fairly likely that Rodgers' character is no longer alive.
