Motorola One Vision brings 21:9 display, 48MP camera and Exynos chipset - news

The Motorola One Vision

Just as rumors and leaks suggested, the Motorola One Vision is the very first smartphone from the company to be fueled by one of Samsung's processors.

The battery capacity of the Motorola One Vision is rated at 3,500 mAh and Motorola claims that the handset would last an entire day with average usage. Turns out it exists, and we're delivering it all with the motorola one vision, created to maximise your view and see the world through a clearer lens. Nearly all the smartphones coming these days offer a 19:9 aspect ratio, but the One Vision is bit different. The bezels here are shaved down a lot, helping the Motorola One Vision look a lot more modern. Pre-orders of the smartphone are due to kick off tomorrow, 16 May, from the Motorola website, before shipping on 30 May. Stay tuned at AndroidPure and we will keep you updated. With that out of the way, let us take a look at the 9609 SoC. The new mid-range device packs some pretty interesting features but its price tag (in Brazil) is on the high side. It has a premium glass back, but the frame is plastic. The display in which this front-facing camera is situated is 6.3-inches diagonally, with a 21:9 aspect ratio. The One Vision smartphone measures at 160.1×71.2×8.7mm, and weighs 181 grams.

China confirms arrests of Canadians detained amid Huawei spat
They have been accused of harming national security, but were not formally arrested until Thursday. Ms Meng, 47, is the daughter of Huawei Technologies Co Ltd's billionaire founder, Ren Zhengfei.

This isn't Motorola's first Android One phone, though. On the rear, there is also a circular fingerprint scanner. There is a USB Type-C port for charging and data syncing purposes. What's not to like? For years, Samsung had an unpublicized but well-known agreement with Qualcomm to not sell Exynos-based phones here in the U.S., so both Samsung and Motorola may have just decided not to poke Qualcomm over here for a phone in a price band that doesn't usually sell. Motorola has named it CinemaVision (similar to Sony's CinemaVision display) and unlike Sony's own display, this one has a punch hole. The price isn't so competitive to catch up with other players easily.

That may be a deal-breaker for some, but there have to be some sacrifices when putting together a mid-range smartphone, and we're confident that the average smartphone user won't notice the difference between the two - it's bright, clear and crisp with great colour reproduction, making it flawless for catching up on the latest YouTuber vlogs. The display is the key attraction of the device. The highlighting thing about the rear camera of the device is that it uses the Quad Pixel technology which combines four pixels into one large 1.6µm pixel to provide a 12MP photo with reduced noise and improved brightness. The camera has a feature called Night Vision for incredible low-light shots. (You can't make it build 48MP images.) There's also a secondary depth sensor on the back. Now you can choose from effects like stage, noir, color pop, and sunshine to add some flair to Portrait Mode photos.

The phone is powered by Samsung's new Octa-Core Exynos 9609 processor that is clocked at 2.2 GHz. No US release is planned at this time. Motorola said the One Vision also comes with support for its 15W TurboPower charging technology, which should deliver seven hours of power in just 15 minutes of charging.
