Wallace is the fourth American tourist reported dead in the Dominican Republic in the last two months and the Federal Bureau of Investigation confirmed Friday to Fox News that it is stepping in to investigate the string of mysterious deaths. His niece, Chloe Arnold, told Fox News on Sunday that Wallace had fallen ill nearly immediately after having had a scotch from his hotel room's minibar. His family says Wallace became ill after getting a drink from the hotel's minibar.

He died April 14.

"He was fine", niece Chloe Arnold said of her uncle, Fox News reported.

Maryland couple Edward Nathaniel Holmes, 63, and Cynthia Day, 49, were found dead just five days later on May 30 at the Bahia Principe hotel from the same reported cause of death, The Daily Caller News Foundation previously reported.

Miranda Schaup-Werner, 41, booked a room with her husband at the Luxury Bahia Principe Bouganville hotel.

"My 6-year-old and 3-year-old used run in the house and jump on him on the couch and he'd wrestle with them for hours on end", Tickenhoff said. Out of respect for the family during this hard time, we do not have additional information to provide. And the mother of Terrence Richmond said her son died under mysterious circumstances in the Dominican Republic in August 2018.

Dominican authorities said post-mortem examinations revealed all four tourists died of natural causes. "We don't want this to happen to anyone else". "My husband's story needs to be told ... something's not right in the Dominican Republic". Both reportedly died of heart attacks.

Last year, David Harrison, 45, of Maryland, suddenly died at the same hotel that Wallace stayed at.

Another woman who stayed at the Bahia Principe this week claimed that she "vomited blood" after drinking a 7-UP from her minibar.

In a news conference last week, tourism officials said the deaths might be coincidence noting that nothing like it has happened in the country before.

The New York Post reported that almost 70 tourists have reported getting violently ill while vacationing in the Dominican Republic since March, according to a commonly used website that tracks food-borne illness outbreaks.

Steven Bullock, a lawyer for Day's family, said autopsies and tests will be performed on Day and Holmes in the US.

Kaylynn Knull said she and her boyfriend enjoyed their vacation until they noticed their room beginning to smell of chemicals.

As a result of the erroneous information that has been published, with which we do not agree, Bahia Principe Hotels & Resorts has suffered great damage to its image and reputation.
